Job Description
Perform analysis of materials and components utilizing standard chemical/laboratory instrumentation for Manufacturing activities. Work with partners to solve analytical requests and communicate results accordingly. Ensure adherence to good laboratory practices when required, in the areas of Laboratory Safety, Instrument Calibration, Instrument maintenance, Instrument troubleshooting and problem solving, Method Development, Laboratory Documentation (SOP), Quality System Support (R&R). Continue to develop the capability of the current instrument set. Applies developed knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments/tasks. Works under limited supervision and normally receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions given for new assignments. Executes existing and new chemical laboratory policies and processes. Implements new laboratory capabilities. Assists in gaining agreement from customers on new policies and processes. May need occasional management support to address escalations.
Must be trained and certified on assigned instruments and methods.
Prepare chemical solutions.
Maintain glassware and materials organized.
Demonstrate the ability to manage more than one task or experiment at a time.
Inform Supervisor of test problems.
Follow specified test methods or design test methods if known method is not available.
Establish and maintain a cooperative, productive work relationship with all employees.
Respond timely, efficiently, and effectively to process, safety, and environmental
Serve as a trainer and guidance to other personnel when necessary.
Monitors effective and correct use of IMS database.
Responsible to maintain a close communication with the Supervisor and customer to close loop of assigned work, including qualifications and ETRs.
Housekeeping: maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area, practicing good safety habits and utilizing appropriate safety equipment.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
